Secondment cover for 9 months (approx) on existing Band 6 rotation – due to start August 2026.
Hull University Teaching Hospitals are seeking a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist to join their diverse team of Allied Health Professionals who work across a range of clinical specialties within acute care.
You will gain experience of working in a large busy acute teaching hospital which has defined links with Hull University and is itself a Major Trauma Centre.
The post holder will work alongside colleagues to support the assessment and need across a range of clinical conditions presenting within acute care with varying degrees of complexity.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist you will have direct input into the assessment and treatment of patients, utilising your skills to deliver evidence‑based interventions to facilitate recovery, promote well‑being and optimise independent functioning as far as reasonably possible in all areas of life. You will also have an active role in the learning, development and supervision of junior staff and students, as well as supporting the clinical leads in developing the service.
You will be expected to be an active member of the multi‑disciplinary team and build networks to enable appropriate partnerships with other agencies involved in patient care to both identify and address immediate and ongoing needs.
