Surrounded by the hills and valleys of the beautiful Derwent Valley countryside on the fringe of Consett YMT is ideally situated, providing a wonderful location in which to work.
YMT’s Mission is rooted in helping young people encounter Christ and feel fully part of the life of the Church. Based at the Emmaus Village just outside Consett County Durham, we have the joy and privilege of welcoming thousands of young people each year through retreats, festivals, outreach, and Diocesan initiatives. Our work continues to grow in both scale and depth, and it remains a vital expression of the Church’s commitment to forming and accompanying the next generation.
YMT was established as a charity in 2012 and is a subsidiary of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
Supporting the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and our small, dedicated team, we are looking for an Administrator to cover a period of Maternity Leave.
Our successful candidate will:
* Be highly organised, proactive and passionate about making a difference.
* Be a consummate administrative professional with excellent organisational skills.
* Be proficient in in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Have some understanding of SaaS finance systems such as QuickBooks or Xero.
* Be comfortable managing multiple tasks.
* Have first class interpersonal skills, readily building relationships from the outset.
* Have excellent communication skills.
* Be the kind of person who is outgoing, friendly and welcoming. With a can do, will do attitude you can be described as positive and proactive.
* Be respectful having due regard for our Values, the need for confidentiality, safeguarding, and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) compliance.
* Be supportive of and sympathetic to our ethos and the Catholic faith.
What you’ll do:
* Provide efficient administrative and operational support to the YMT team.
* Manage correspondence, records, and calendars.
* Coordinate bookings, logistics, projects and event administration.
* Handle financial tasks including invoicing, payment tracking, and reporting.
