Brownlee Cale are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Supervisor (Electrically Biased) to join a critical water infrastructure project based inWales. The ideal candidate will bring a strong electrical background, with working knowledge of mechanical systems and a preference for experience in instrumentation and control (I&C) systems.
You will play a key role in supervising on-site M&E activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate electrical and mechanical installation works across the site
*
Oversee the implementation and commissioning of instrumentation and control equipment, ensuring functionality and integration with SCADA or other control systems.

Monitor and enforce HSE standards and ensure all work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and relevant legislation.
*
Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to coordinate site activities.
*
Review and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
*
Maintain accurate site records, including progress updates, inspections, and test results.
*
Support fault-finding and diagnostics on electrical and I&C systems as needed during commissioning and handover.
*
Ensure all temporary and permanent electrical installations meet safety requirements.
Requirements:
*
Recognised Electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
*
Proven supervisory experience on water or heavy infrastructure projects
*
Solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, with a clear bias towards electrical.
*
Experience with instrumentation and control systems (pressure/flow sensors, PLCs, SCADA) is preferred.
*
Strong working knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., BS7671, IEE wiring regs).
*
ECS/CSCS card and SSSTS or SMSTS certification desirable.
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*
Valid UK driving licence.
