Business Development Representative

Salary: 28,000 to 36,000 (depending on experience)

This is a temp to perm role.
Our client is seeking an experienced and established business development professional to expand their existing client base and identify new clients. They are one of the south's leading electrical wholesalers and distributors, offering a wide range of products to a geographically diverse customer base. The role involves traveling across the South of England, primarily in Hampshire and surrounding areas. Visits to the office, located on the outskirts of Southampton, should be at least once a week.
The Role:
1. Research and identify new business opportunities, including growth areas, trends, partnerships, products, and services.
2. Identify and contact key decision-makers within organizations.
3. Develop and nurture relationships with customer contacts.
4. Proactively schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings with clients to develop business.
The Person:
* Minimum 2 years of business development experience (preferred).
* Technical knowledge of electrical products is preferred; however, a willingness to learn about industrial electrical products is also acceptable.
* Valid driving license with fewer than 6 points.
