Working Hours

7. 45 hours per week
8. Straight shifts between 6am – 9pm
9. Includes weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis

Job Role

10. Support the Executive Head Chef and senior kitchen team in the daily operations of a high-volume kitchen serving up to 400 guests.
11. Assist in the preparation and delivery of breakfast, lunch, and dinner to exacting standards and dish specifications.
12. Lead by example in upholding company values, service standards, and departmental procedures.
13. Maintain strict compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations, ensuring all team members follow best practices.
14. Oversee opening and closing procedures to maintain cleanliness across all operational kitchens.
15. Accurately complete HACCP and cleaning records, reporting any defects to support a 5-star EHO rating.
16. Manage allergen awareness and dietary requirements, including direct guest interaction when needed.
17. Mentor and coach Demi Chefs, Commis Chefs, and Kitchen Porters through on-the-job training and development.
18. Take initiative in your own professional growth and career progression within the kitchen team.

Your Skills and Experience

19. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment
20. Proven leadership and supervisory skills
21. High standards with strong attention to detail
22. Excellent organizational and time management abilities
23. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent catering qualification
