Learning Support Assistant – Year 3/4 (SEMH Setting)
East Sussex | Full-Time | Term-Time
Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEMH school in East Sussex that supports both primary and secondary pupils who require a highly relational, emotionally informed approach to education.
The school is currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work within a Year 3/4 class. This is a hands-on, high-energy role suited to someone who brings positivity, resilience and strong behaviour management skills into the classroom every day.
Behaviour can be challenging at times, so this role is best suited to someone who is confident, proactive and able to remain calm, consistent and upbeat under pressure.

The Role

* Supporting pupils within a Year 3/4 class throughout the school day
* Helping children regulate emotions and manage behaviour in a positive, consistent way
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may struggle with boundaries or engagement
* Supporting learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
* Encouraging positive behaviour, social skills and classroom routines
* Being an active, visible presence in the classroom — offering encouragement, structure and energy
* Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team
This is not a desk-based role — you will be fully involved in the daily life of the classroom.

* A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
