SEND Teacher - Wellingborough

About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment seeks a experienced SEND Teacher to lead teaching provisions for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities. You will design, implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs/EHCPs), work closely with teaching assistants and support staff, liaise with parents and external services, and adapt the curriculum to meet a range of needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver high‐quality, differentiated teaching for pupils with SEND.
2. Lead the assessment, tracking and review of Individual Education Plans / EHCPs.
3. Work in collaboration with the SENDCo, SLT, external professionals (therapists, health .
4. Provide specialist interventions and support programmes.
5. Mentor and support TAs and other staff working with SEND pupils.
6. Promote inclusion; ensure pupils are fully included in all aspects of school life.
7. Contribute to curriculum development to ensure accessibility.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
9. Experience teaching pupils with a range of SEND needs.
10. Knowledge of relevant legislation, EHCP process, SEND Code of Practice.
11. Ability to differentiate teaching effectively.
12. Strong communication skills with pupils, parents, colleagues.
13. Commitment to inclusive education; patient, flexible, resourceful.
