About the Practice The practice serves a diverse patient population and prides itself on providing accessible, high-quality healthcare. As a recognised training practice, it plays an active role in supporting the development of future healthcare professionals, including GP Registrars, medical students, and other learners within primary care. The clinical team includes GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, and a dedicated administrative support team, all working collaboratively to deliver outstanding patient care. The Role The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will work autonomously within their scope of practice, providing expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions. Key responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments. Diagnosing and managing acute and minor illness presentations. Prescribing independently where qualified to do so. Requesting and interpreting appropriate investigations. Developing and implementing treatment plans. Managing patients with long-term conditions. Providing health promotion and preventative care advice. Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team. Supporting the education and development of trainees and junior colleagues where appropriate. Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will demonstrate: Registered Nurse status with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). MSc-level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent. Independent Prescribing qualification. Significant experience working within primary care or urgent care settings. Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills. The ability to work independently and manage a varied clinical caseload. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
