This is a Permanent Contract for 26 to 30 hours per week, working 5 to 6 days on a rota basis which includes weekends. This role offers flexibility and is suited to someone looking for part-time hours. It will include overnight stays, and you'll spend on average up to 3 nights away per week, depending on business needs.

Pay: £48,048 pro rata, with potential to earn more through overnight stays and overtime when offered.
Location: To support a healthy work-life balance, we kindly ask that candidates live within a 25-mile commute of our farm in Devon: Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU
What youll be doing
As a Relief Driver (HGV Class CE) with Riverford, youll play an important role in keeping our veg moving. Youll be responsible for transporting our award-winning veg boxes from our farms to distribution hubs across the UK, stepping in when other drivers are on holiday. This work is a key part of the journey from farm to fork, and one we take great pride in.
Our Transport team is a valued part of this process. They take care to make sure every box leaves the farm in great condition and arrives on time, ready for the next stage of its journey. It is steady, purposeful work that helps us deliver what our customers expect: fresh, seasonal food grown with care.
Youll be driving Class 1 refrigerated trailers, carrying out both deliveries and collections. In some areas, you will also help with loading and unloading using pallet trucks or counterbalance forklifts. This is a physically demanding role where you will often be working independently. We are looking for someone dependable, adaptable, and confident behind the wheel.

Skills & experience
Must hold Class 1 licence (with no more than 6 penalty points)
Driving a goods vehicle minimum 2 years (preferred)
Valid DCPC
Counterbalance and powered forklift certificates preferred however, not essential as training can be given
