WHAT WILL THIS ROLE INVOLVE?
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will report directly to the HR Director and work closely with operational teams to provide support and guidance on employee relations (ER) matters. You will be responsible for ER case management, updating policies in line with legislation, and actively contributing to building a positive workplace aligned with our People strategy.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
1. Manage complex ER cases, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, absence management, mediation, conflict resolution, and performance management.
2. Act as the primary contact for team members and managers on ER issues, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with policies and employment law.
3. Enhance manager capabilities across all ER areas through coaching and training.
4. Lead Occupational Health referrals, liaising with providers, reviewing reports, and advising on appropriate actions and adjustments.
5. Conduct welfare meetings with employees to understand their needs and explore support options.
6. Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
7. Keep the HR team updated on legislation impacting employee relations and the business.
8. Design and deliver HR training sessions and workshops.
