About the Role
Are you ready to build a meaningful career where your work helps protect public funds, improve services, and drive transparency across Nottingham City Council?
We’re looking for two Audit & Risk Trainees, people who are curious, analytical, and eager to learn, to join our Audit & Risk Team.
In this hands-on role, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality audit, risk, insurance, and counter fraud services, helping to ensure integrity and accountability across the Council. You’ll also complete a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Data Analysis, giving you a professional qualification while gaining valuable real-world experience.
What You’ll Do
Support internal audits across a wide range of council services.
Develop data analytics tools to spot trends, anomalies, and potential risks.
️Assist with investigations into suspected fraud or error.
️Contribute to reports and recommendations that help shape better decision-making.
️Support corporate risk management and insurance activities.
Promote a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Complete structured learning and apprenticeship training to develop your skills.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
