Behaviour Mentor - Mainstream Primary School Brighton Full-Time | Term-Time Only Mainstream Primary School Setting Academics Agency Academics Agency is currently recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to work within a supportive mainstream primary school in Brighton. This rewarding role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with challenging behaviour and a passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and engagement within the classroom environment. The Role: Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils Implementing behaviour support strategies and interventions Assisting teachers in managing classroom behaviour effectively Encouraging positive social interaction, engagement and emotional regulation Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour Strong behaviour management and communication skills Calm, patient and resilient approach Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff Experience within schools, youth work, mentoring or support work is desirable Passionate about supporting children's wellbeing and development What We Offer: Competitive daily pay rates Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Opportunity to work within supportive Brighton primary schools Valuable classroom and behaviour support experience Potential long-term and permanent opportunities If you are passionate about making a positive difference and supporting children to succeed within education, we would love to hear from you.
