I am seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor to join my renowned aviation industry client based in Hayes, West London.
As the Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor, you will work within the Quality Team to develop and support primarily the Health & Safety function of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) for the company.
Role: Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Hayes, Middlesex
Shift: Mon-Fri, 08:00 - 17:00 - 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to 43,075.46
Responsibilities
* Interacting with all departmental managers to ensure EHS compliance.
* Controlling the completion of Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments.
* Accident reporting and investigation, including KPI reporting to the Product Division.
* Auditing to ISO14001 and 45001 standards to maintain approval.
* Creating EHS policies in line with UK law and company requirements.
* Delivering targets for health & safety implementation and compliance.
* Developing and introducing a Safety Team from cross-functional areas.
* Assessing new substances, including setting up and maintaining REACH compliance.
* Controlling PPE standards and ensuring compliance with standards.
* Advising on EHS training and developing training resources.
* Maintaining a control plan for EHS testing requirements.
* Supporting HR on occupational health matters.
* Conducting regular meetings with first aiders and providing support.
* Supporting the Quality Team, including updating procedures.
* Deputising for the Security Manager when required.
* Performing tasks within your capability to meet company needs.
Requirements & Education
* Preferably with an EHS background and knowledge of aviation.
* Degree level education (Engineering/Chemistry or relevant field) or equivalent experience with secondary education (A Levels) or BTECH/HNC.
* NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Certificate/Diploma preferred.
* Recognised auditing qualification with experience in ISO14001 or ISO45001.
* Excellent administrative and coordination skills.
* Experience in completing risk assessments, audits, and reviewing MSDS sheets.
* Ability to manage and work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to develop positive working relationships with various partners.
* Ability to produce timely and accurate reports.
* Must already have the right to live and work in the UK.
