MORSON INT - SOFTWARE ANALYSIS ENGINEER - BARROW - 6 MONTH CONTRACT Location: Barrow - United Kingdom Duration: 6 month contractPay rate: £38.95 per hour LTD IntroductionA vacancy has arisen for a professional Software/Analyst engineer to work within the Weapons Design Team on projects through all stages has arisen: from the initial concept through the design and development stage to the testing of one or more prototypes and through to final manufacture and implementation of a new product or system.RoleSoftware systems concept generation, based on internal and external customer requirements.Creating and reviewing specifications for sub - systems,Working with colleagues to design embedded software systems, with close liaison with the electronics hardware engineering to develop the optimum hardware/software system.Software Engineering for embedded systems, including software analysis and design, coding, integration and testing, using embedded C on Texas Instruments microcontrollers.Development of Test software using Labview/Teststand and C# with CAN/RS422 data interfaces.Systematically improving the detailed design of a piece of electronic equipmentIntegration of sub - systems into an evolving product design, including laboratory tests, shop floor development testing and off site trials.Following defined design and development processes including product safety regulations requirementsLiaising with other departments and external people to ensure the product requirements can be achieved in a cost effective manner in the required timescales.Ensuring that the product will operate reliably in the military environment, and can be manufactured reliably, and will perform consistently in specified operating environmentsRepresenting the company with customers, suppliers and sub - contractorsPlanning work to meet budgets timescalesSupervising technicians and craftspeople and other colleaguesGeneration and review of technical reports and documentationKeeping up to date with developments in technologies and regulations.Additional security requirementsWe seek a Software Analysis Engineer who has worked in a Military/Defence environment or industry within the last 12 months, or who is capable of obtaining Security Clearance SC Level Minimum
