Assistant Quantity Surveyor Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a main contractor working on the Canal & River Trust Framework, with project values ranging from £50,000 to £500,000.

Your role as Assistant Quantity Surveyor will involve managing the commercial performance of projects to ensure optimal recovery and cash flow, monitoring project costs in real-time, and effectively managing suppliers and sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
* Client Management: Maintain open communication with clients and assist the Commercial Manager with client-related commercial issues.
* Assist in producing the client’s forecast cost to complete, considering the project budget and completion date.
* Understand stakeholder requirements, including statutory authorities and regulators.
* Comply with environmental legislation relevant to your contracts.
* Assist in waste management in accordance with the SWMP and Waste Management Licensing Regulations, or ensure suitable exemptions are in place.
* Contribute to the production of contract budgets, costs to complete, and cash flow forecasts for real-time decision-making.
* Understand the contract programme, including critical path, float, key dates, and completion targets.
* Manage procurement of sub-contractors with timely and competitive tenders.
Experience Required:
* At least 3 years of experience at Assistant QS level.
* Experience working with NEC Contracts (Options A & D preferred).
* Degree qualification preferred but not essential.
Package:
* Temp-to-Perm contract: 6 months followed by a permanent position.
