Our successful Lead Technical Project Manager will oversee project management, planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of new product development and lifecycle management project pipeline in accordance with agreed scope, timing, and budget. Driving cross functional project and/or program execution through collaboration with various functions such as R&D, Operations & Commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work in partnership with the New Product Delivery Lead, providing leadership to the Core team, and holding them accountable to their project deliverables throughout the full New Product Development lifecycle.
2. Manage and deliver high-priority, technically complex projects to ensure on-time completion within scope and plan.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams for a coordinated approach to New Product Development.
4. Create detailed work plans, identifying activities and resources needed for project success.
5. Coordinate technical workstreams with project schedules.
6. Provide project updates to the Director and review schedules with senior management and teams, revising plans as needed.
7. Define project evaluation objectives and measures.
8. Identify roadblocks, develop mitigations, and escalate issues when necessary.
9. Select staff with appropriate skills for project activities in consultation with senior management.
10. Ensure compliance with Design Control, CCR, Business processes, and IDEAL process for project documentation and reviews.
11. Develop and maintain project documentation and files.
12. Establish communication plans for stakeholder updates.
13. Conduct risk review sessions and develop mitigation strategies with cross-functional teams.
14. Ensure project work meets company standards for quality.
15. Provide orientation to project personnel.

About You:

1. You’ll hold a University Degree, preferably in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.
2. Proven experience managing new product development projects in the regulated medical device space from concept to launch.
3. Effective stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
4. Experience in developing teams and fostering a positive team culture.
5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
6. Strong organizational skills.
7. Thorough understanding of Medical Device development standards and regulations.
8. Proficiency in project management software tools (MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook).

Qualifications/Education:

1. BEng, BSc or Higher; MBA desirable.
2. Project management qualification (Prince II, PMP, APM) or equivalent experience.
