As we continue to expand our presence and grow our client base, we are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to play a critical role in driving new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and contributing to our growth strategy.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities for Procon 24/7 Ltd. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on client engagement, requiring a proactive and results-driven individual who can confidently communicate with stakeholders across multiple industries.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our market share, strengthening relationships with contractors and developers, and identifying opportunities for partnerships and revenue growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales
* Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across commercial, civil engineering, domestic, and infrastructure sectors.
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets.
* Prepare tailored proposals, quotations, and presentations for prospective clients.
* Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
Client Relationship Management
* Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, contractors, developers, and decision-makers.
* Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
* Regularly meet with clients onsite and offsite to strengthen partnerships.
Market Research & Strategy
* Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and potential growth areas.
* Contribute to the company's overall business development strategy, working closely with senior management.
* Provide insights and recommendations for product/service improvements based on client feedback.
Collaboration & Reporting
* Work alongside the marketing team to develop campaigns that generate qualified leads.
* Collaborate with operations and logistics to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
* Prepare and present regular business development reports, including KPIs and sales performance, to the Managing Director.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in a Business Development Manager or Sales Manager role, preferably within construction, concrete supply, or building materials.
* Strong network of industry contacts within construction, contractors, or civil engineering (advantageous).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day sales activities.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple accounts.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across regions as required.
