GSL Education are recruiting for schools in Sheffield (S35) to appoint an enthusiastic History Teacher who can deliver meaningful, engaging lessons that help students understand the world through its historical events and themes. As a History Teacher, you’ll foster critical thinking, guide students through key historical periods, and build an environment where analytical and evaluative skills thrive. Your lessons will connect past and present, sparking curiosity about human stories and societal change. Key Responsibilities: Deliver well-planned lessons across a range of historical topics. Support students in developing strong analytical and writing skills. Use effective behaviour management to maintain a focused learning space. Provide constructive feedback to help pupils progress. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the curriculum. Monitor progress and keep accurate assessment records. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification. Confident subject knowledge and the ability to deliver as a History Teacher. Strong communication and organisational skills. A commitment to supporting learners of varying abilities. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
