The Role
As a Senior Finance Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Providing financial support and deputization to the Defence Support Group (DSG) Heads of Finance and support to the Finance Director (Equipment Support).
Day-to-day, you’ll be focused on the financial management and reporting of Incentive Adjustment, Risk and KPIs for DSG; you’ll lead on driving transformation projects, standardisation, and internal control throughout the Finance function.
* Support IA team with all financial management to include business cases, forecasting and month end processes (invoicing, accruals, reporting).
* Key member of Finance team including lead point of contact for the external Customer in relation to IA.
* Support Contract Director in managing costed Risk register and ensuring all risks are evidenced in line with audit requirements.
* Peer reviews of finance models to ensure accuracy, standardisation and continuous improvement.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is adaptable and can be delivered from various locations including Warminster, Bovington, Andover or Bristol.
Essential Experience of the Senior Finance Manager:
* Advanced Excel skills, good knowledge of MS Office.
* Experience of handling, conditioning and distilling large amounts of data.
* Excellent communication skills particularly at senior level and the ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-finance people both verbally and visually.
* Finance business partnering experience is highly desirable.
* Experience of SAP is beneficial.
Qualifications for the Senior Finance manager
* You must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent / similar.
