Requirements
What You'll Be Doing
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be home-based, covering the Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster areas. Your role will involve servicing, repairing, and installing material handling equipment for a wide range of clients, including high-profile organisations. You'll work on single and three-phase machinery, ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently to help customers achieve their productivity goals.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be trusted to manage your own schedule, deliver excellent customer service, and tackle technical challenges head-on.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a mechanical engineer with some electrical experience. If you've worked in industries such as automotive, HGV, LGV, PSV, plant, agricultural, construction equipment, REME, or roadside recovery, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll need a valid UK driving licence and practical knowledge of mobile machinery, electrical drive and control systems, diesel and LPG engines, hydraulics, and computer-based diagnostics. Previous field service experience is an advantage, but full product training will be provided.
Recruitment Process – What to Expect
We want to make joining our team as smooth and transparent as possible. Here's how the process works:
Step 1: Initial Screening
Once you apply, our recruitment team will review your CV to ensure your skills and experience match the role. If successful, we'll contact you promptly to arrange the next stage.
Step 2: First Interview – Microsoft Teams
Your first interview will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about your background and for you to ask questions about the role and the company. We'll discuss your technical experience, your approach to problem-solving, and what you're looking for in your next career move. This stage usually lasts around 30–45 minutes.
Step 3: Second Interview – Face-to-Face
If you progress to the next stage, you'll be invited to meet us in person. We'll go into more detail about the role, your technical skills, and how you'd fit into our culture.
Step 4: Offer and Onboarding
Successful candidates will receive a formal offer and a clear onboarding plan. We'll guide you through everything you need to get started, including training schedules and introductions to your new colleagues.
