Offer description

Ready to take your engineering career to the next level?

Join Logisnext UK Ltd, part of Mitsubishi Logisnext – the fifth-largest industrial truck manufacturer in the world. We're not just about forklifts anymore – following an exciting expansion, we now offer complete materials handling solutions, including racking support and cutting-edge Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs).

This is your chance to work with advanced technology, enjoy top-tier training, and be part of a company with over 60 years of innovation in logistics and warehouse solutions.

Why You'll Love This Role

We offer a competitive starting salary of £37,531, plus overtime and bonus opportunities that can take your earnings to £40,000+ per year. You'll be paid from door to door, so your travel time is covered, and you'll have access to a company van for work – with the option for personal use – and a fuel card for convenience.

Your career development matters to us. After six months, your salary will be reviewed, and you'll have a clear progression path supported by full manufacturer training at our in-house facility. We'll provide all the specialist tools you need to succeed.

Requirements

What You'll Be Doing

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be home-based, covering the Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster areas. Your role will involve servicing, repairing, and installing material handling equipment for a wide range of clients, including high-profile organisations. You'll work on single and three-phase machinery, ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently to help customers achieve their productivity goals.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be trusted to manage your own schedule, deliver excellent customer service, and tackle technical challenges head-on.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a mechanical engineer with some electrical experience. If you've worked in industries such as automotive, HGV, LGV, PSV, plant, agricultural, construction equipment, REME, or roadside recovery, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll need a valid UK driving licence and practical knowledge of mobile machinery, electrical drive and control systems, diesel and LPG engines, hydraulics, and computer-based diagnostics. Previous field service experience is an advantage, but full product training will be provided.

Recruitment Process – What to Expect

We want to make joining our team as smooth and transparent as possible. Here's how the process works:

Step 1: Initial Screening
Once you apply, our recruitment team will review your CV to ensure your skills and experience match the role. If successful, we'll contact you promptly to arrange the next stage.

Step 2: First Interview – Microsoft Teams
Your first interview will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about your background and for you to ask questions about the role and the company. We'll discuss your technical experience, your approach to problem-solving, and what you're looking for in your next career move. This stage usually lasts around 30–45 minutes.

Step 3: Second Interview – Face-to-Face
If you progress to the next stage, you'll be invited to meet us in person. We'll go into more detail about the role, your technical skills, and how you'd fit into our culture.

Step 4: Offer and Onboarding
Successful candidates will receive a formal offer and a clear onboarding plan. We'll guide you through everything you need to get started, including training schedules and introductions to your new colleagues.

Benefits

Benefits That Make a Difference

We believe in rewarding our engineers with benefits that truly add value. You'll enjoy generous overtime rates – 1.6 times your standard rate Monday to Saturday and 2.1 times on Sundays and Bank Holidays – plus a bonus scheme to boost your earnings further.

Time off is important, so you'll start with 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days after five years. You can also buy or sell additional holiday days for flexibility. We even give you an extra day off when you move house

Your wellbeing is a priority. That's why we offer private health cover, income protection, life cover, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme. You'll also benefit from a contributory pension scheme and a subsidised gym membership to keep you feeling your best.

If you're passionate about engineering, enjoy working independently, and want a role with great pay, outstanding benefits, and genuine career progression, this is the opportunity for you.
