3347 - Integrated Midwife - Newly Qualified
We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our ever-evolving maternity team, dedicated to delivering care which is safe, compassionate and evidence based. Achievements include a prestigious RCM award for Supporting Mental Health in Pregnancy project. We pride ourselves on being a baby friendly accredited unit who are now on a journey to achieve the UNICEF UK BFI Gold Award. In line with the Better Births report, we offer both traditional and Continuity of Care models of working.
We are delighted to be able to offer the successful applicants a robust supernumerary period of circa six weeks. This is led by the Pastoral Support Midwives and supported by our friendly, welcoming multi-disciplinary team, including Professional Midwifery Advocates. The supernumerary period includes a week of mandatory training, inclusive of PROMPT and fetal monitoring, as well as an opportunity to work in all inpatient areas. In line with the National Preceptorship Framework, you will receive a named Preceptor for your preceptorship period.
Main duties of the job
During your first year, you will also be part of the Trust preceptorship program, receiving time out days, clinical skills training and ongoing support.
As an Integrated Midwife you will have the opportunity to rotate between all areas of maternity. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated midwives who are passionate about maintaining high standards of care for women, birthing people and their families in line with The Trust's Proud to Care Values.
