Role Overview We are seeking a German & Japanese Speaking Translator to support the localisation of a wide variety of content, including video games, websites, mobile apps, and product packaging. The ideal candidate will ensure translations are accurate, culturally relevant, and linguistically polished for the German-speaking market. Key Responsibilities Translate and proofread video game content and related media from Japanese into German Collaborate with editors, project coordinators, and localisation managers to ensure consistency and quality Adapt content across different platforms and formats while maintaining brand tone and style Manage and update glossaries, style guides, and translation memories Balance multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Candidate Requirements Native-level German with fluency in Japanese and strong English communication skills Proven translation experience (video game localisation preferred) Excellent attention to detail and cultural nuance Experience with CAT tools (MemoQ preferred) and willingness to learn new software Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Creative, collaborative, and able to perform under pressure Experience managing glossaries and localisation workflows Benefits Competitive salary package - c£50,000!
