We prioritize inclusive working practices and invite applicants from all backgrounds into our HC-One family. We are committed to providing a quick turnaround from offer to starting with us.
About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love. You’ll demonstrate high standards in cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures, showing new starters how to use equipment, or cleaning spills, you’ll always prioritize Resident wellbeing.
HC-One is looking for a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience, but what’s certain is that you’ll have either an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or the willingness to study for one. Strong record-keeping and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with residents or colleagues, you’ll be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should also know how to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if necessary.
