They are now looking for a Choral Director to join them on a part-time, fixed-term basis, working 15 hours per week on a 12-month contract, with travel throughout the area, with a particular focus on Hertfordshire. Specifically, you will deliver in-class singing sessions and assemblies, develop after-school choirs, and encourage pupil participation in liturgical music. You will identify schools and communities to benefit from the programme and build strong relationships to ensure its success. You will also provide local continuing professional development (CPD) for teachers to boost their confidence in leading singing and contribute to the broader development of our client’s vision for liturgical music. Additionally, you will: - Support schools in preparing pupils for worship - Foster links between schools and communities - Co-ordinate music provision for collective worship - Deliver inspiring sessions that are inclusive and accessible About You To be considered as a Choral Director, you will need: - Proven experience directing choirs and working with young singers - Knowledge of sacred and secular choral music - Knowledge of IT and music notation software - Effective choral direction techniques and warm-ups - Strong communication and organisational skills - Confidence in managing varied responsibilities across multiple sites - The ability to work independently and collaboratively - A full, driving licence and willingness to travel Please note, this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
