Role Summary
The DevOps Lead will take a lead role in designing and implementing robust, scalable infrastructure and CI/CD solutions across multiple environments. They will combine technical leadership with a strong coaching mindset, enabling our teams to build capability and ensure long‑term sustainability. The DevOps Lead will play a pivotal role in guiding our engineering teams through a period of transformation and growth, strengthening cloud security, driving automation through Infrastructure as Code, ensuring platform reliability as we scale, and championing FinOps practices to optimise cost efficiency and performance.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team towards achieving goals.
* Proven experience in a DevOps/SRE or similar role, preferably in a software development or SaaS environment.
* Advanced knowledge of Azure Cloud and Containerisation technologies.
* Strong proficiency in Automation Scripting.
* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or equivalent products.
* Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on driving solutions in a timely manner.
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities
* Decide on the right tech stack, tools and plan to reach the DevOps vision.
* Lead, create a vision and mentor the team of DevOps engineers; provide guidance, support, and foster a collaborative and high‑performance culture to ensure successful execution of DevOps initiatives.
* With the team, using agile methodologies: manage and optimise the production, QA and development environments to ensure high availability, scalability and performance of our software products.
* Design and implement robust monitoring systems that proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities and system failures.
* Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
* Drive improvements to the platform and tooling used to deliver a reliable, secure and high‑performance platform.
* Automate and streamline our CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust quick builds and deployments.
* Respond to incidents on mission‑critical systems to ensure the platform remains secure and highly available, minimising client and market impact.
* Drive the adoption of new technologies within the business to help improve the reliability, performance, scalability and security of the tools and platform we operate.
* Collaborate with the DevOps Lead of France, Australia, Belgium to share knowledge and develop DevOps good practices that will be shared across the group.
