As a Multi-Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operational running of multiple sites and store teams as directed by your Line Manager. You will utilise your experience in fast-paced, multi-site management to successfully oversee a growing number of stores, ensuring consistency of operational standards, coaching and training store teams, and driving key performance indicators (KPIs).

You will support new stores to ensure teams are successfully operating and trading, and may also be required to lead or support new store openings. Additionally, this role involves stepping in to cover business-critical store management positions during absences, requiring comprehensive experience in day-to-day store operations.

This is a hands-on, dynamic role that requires you to be self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to contribute to and support the growth and operational strategies of the business. Flexibility in terms of travel and work tasks is essential.

Owns vehicle and must be able to drive as frequent travel is required. Base location would be Cambridge when not travelling.

MAIN TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Point of Contact: Act as the first point of contact for store managers within your designated area, providing guidance and support for all operational issues.
* Store Coverage: Manage and oversee operations for all stores in your area, ensuring solutions are found for any challenges that arise.
* Absence Cover: Step in and cover store management roles in the event of absences, ensuring operational continuity and team performance.
* Training & Development: Provide ongoing training, coaching, and motivation to store teams, ensuring they are equipped to operate at the highest standards.
* Team Leadership: Support and develop store managers to achieve continuous year-on-year growth (L4L) and maintain consistent operational standards.
* Operational Excellence: Ensure consistency of store standards, processes, and operations across your area, focusing on driving efficiency and store performance.
* KPI Management: Regularly review weekly KPIs with your Line Manager and develop practical recommendations for improving performance. Follow up with stores to ensure that these recommendations are implemented.
* Team Engagement: Maintain regular communication with your Line Manager to identify ways to keep stores engaged, motivated, and aligned as a team.
* Stock Management: Drive stock management processes, ensuring stock rooms are maintained and stock is effectively managed across sites.
* Customer Service: Uphold and drive customer service standards, ensuring the store teams consistently meet the company's high expectations.
* Staff Rostering: Review and manage staff rosters to ensure they align with the payroll budget and store needs. Assist store managers in optimising schedules, especially during peak trading periods.
* Peak Trading Support: Plan and support store managers during peak trading times (e.g., seasonal recruitment, efficient staffing, replenishment, driving sales, stock ordering, and operational efficiency).
* Project Management: Contribute to and support senior retail leaders with additional ad-hoc projects aimed at improving business performance and operational efficiency.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Proven management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
* Strong understanding of retail operations, staff management, business costs, merchandising, and store standards.
* Expertise in implementing and maintaining retail operational standards.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* IT proficient with the ability to quickly learn in-house systems and utilise company apps.
* Organised, structured, and solutions-oriented with excellent planning skills.
* Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively, especially in challenging situations.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable with a strong "can-do" attitude.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Experience with multi-site management, particularly managing and improving underperforming teams.
