Could you work as part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to improving the health of people living in Dundee?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 5 dietitian or an established band 6 dietitian to join a dynamic and friendly Tayside team. The post holder will manage a varied caseload with an emphasis on nutritional support, while being supported to complete competencies in a more complex clinical caseload, including home enteral feeding. This post offers an excellent opportunity to deliver a wide range of community-based nutritional care, including nutrition support in community settings such as GP practices, patients’ homes, community hospitals, and care homes.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with other health and care colleagues, taking a proactive approach to clinical care, service improvement, and pathway development.
We are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who can demonstrate strong teamwork as well as the ability to work independently.
This post is open to:
* Experienced Band 5 dietitians seeking a developmental role in a community setting, with structured support, mentoring, and supervision to complete set competencies and progress to Band 6.
* Established Band 6 dietitians looking for a new challenge in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Previous experience in community dietetics is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
The Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service promotes collaborative working across all our teams. This enables and encourages the development and implementation of pathways, standards, and innovative practices. It also allows for extensive peer support and opportunities for professional development. We are committed to training dietetic students, medical students, and other healthcare professionals. This post will be involved in supporting the student training programme.
You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
