Job Title: Legal Secretary
Location: Whitechapel, London (Hybrid)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are working with a well-established law firm looking to appoint a proactive and organised Legal Secretary to support their busy team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential support to solicitors across both legal and administrative functions.
While experience supporting Intellectual Property (IP) solicitors would be ideal, we are also open to candidates with legal secretarial experience in other practice areas, particularly those involving litigation such as commercial litigation.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and formatting legal documents
* Managing inboxes, email filing systems, diaries, and travel arrangements
* Maintaining case files, including file opening/closing and ensuring accurate record-keeping
* Supporting billing processes, including invoices, expenses, and general financial administration
* Assisting solicitors with day-to-day tasks
About You
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal within a litigation-focused environment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
* Confident with administrative duties including document production, inbox management, and filing systems
* Experience supporting trade mark attorneys is welcomed, provided you also have exposure to litigation work and court processes
* Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and overall IT proficiency
