As a Care Assistant you will be responsible for:
* Understanding and providing the requirements for “normal” health and the impact of continued care on client and family.
* Assisting the client in any area of daily care they would normally undertake themselves.
* Participating in holistic caring activities.
* Providing care for all clients’ needs to optimise their independence.
* Reading and acting on Care Plans to promote continuity of care.
* Respecting individual confidentiality rights.
* Performing moving and handling, dressing, and assisting residents in daily hygiene and dressing.
* Observing and reporting any changes in resident condition.
* Reporting hazards or unsafe equipment to senior staff, safeguarding health and safety.
* Attending required in‑service training and mandatory legal training.
Desirable qualifications and experience:
* Previous experience of care work in a hospital, care or nursing home.
* A passion for care of the elderly.
* NVQ2 / SVQ2 or QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care.
