As a Private Client Legal Secretary, you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners within the Private Client department. You’ll play a key role in helping the team deliver a first-class service to clients on matters such as Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney. Key Responsibilities: Providing efficient secretarial support to solicitors including audio typing (digital dictation), copy typing, and document formatting Preparing and amending legal documents and correspondence Liaising with clients by phone, email, and in person, maintaining professionalism and discretion Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and organising meetings Handling and processing client files, including opening and closing files in line with compliance procedures Assisting with billing, time recording, and other financial tasks Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with firm policies and legal requirements Requirements: Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Private Client department Excellent typing speed and accuracy (both audio and copy) Strong communication and interpersonal skills High level of attention to detail and organisational ability Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems Discretion, tact, and a commitment to client confidentiality
