About the role
We're looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join a high-profile systems transformation project. This is a 12-month fixed-term role based in the Chester area, with occasional travel to Manchester. You'll play a key role in the migration from SAP to Microsoft Dynamics 365, working across finance, IT, and project teams to ensure a smooth transition.
Key responsibilities
* Data Migration - Supporting the transition of financial data, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
* System Testing - Assisting with testing and troubleshooting issues in the new system.
* Training & Support - Helping finance colleagues adapt to Microsoft Dynamics, including training and documentation.
* Financial Reporting - Ensuring consistent and accurate reporting during the transition.
* Process Improvement - Identifying efficiencies and supporting system enhancements.
* Compliance - Ensuring all financial processes align with internal policies and regulations.
* Collaboration - Working closely with IT, finance, and project teams for a seamless implementation.
Person profile
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred)
* Project Accounting Experience - At least 3 years in a similar role
* Systems Knowledge - Hands-on experience with SAP and Microsoft Dynamics
* Tech-Savvy - Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a bonus
* Analytical Thinker - Strong problem-solving and numerical skills
* Great Communicator - Ability to work with stakeholders across different functions
