Job Role: Efficient management and operation of service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home Keep up to date with all new Legislation, Regulations and responsible authority guidelines, and to ensure the effective communication of the same to all staff Ensure company culture and values are maintained and reinforced To amend home policies and procedures, or to produce new documents as may be required through changes or updates in such legislation/regulations / guidelines. Robust matching and admissions processes with support from the Responsible Individual and operations team Ensure high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation and the service of keyworkers are planned, provided and applied in accordance with the home's procedures and strategies Effective delegation / planning of education and social activities Using IT skills and written/verbal skills to assist in information recording and communication with internal staff and external agencies and authorities, always maintaining confidentiality Working with Young People Working compassionately and efficiently with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties and associated challenging behaviours from past traumas Committed to achieve the best outcomes for children and driven to achieve objectives in a transparent and continuously improving environment Effective management and development of a range of direct quality services for children Meet the needs of and promoting the development of the children to ensure they are supported and prepared to move on to independent living Requirements Experience within children's services and be experienced in challenging behaviours as a Regional Manager Registered Manager with relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management). Proven experience in a managerial role within the health and social care sector. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience with ensuring the service provides a child-centred and child-focussed environment where appropriate detailed assessments (care plans, risk assessments etc.) and programmes of activity are undertaken to meet the core needs of each young person. Ensure the delivery of detailed care planning, regular monitoring and review takes place A commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all individuals.
