Description Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Instrumentation and Control Engineer (contract). The role will be working a Middle Eastern chemicals Pre-FEED project in our Reading office on a hybrid basis. The role will initially be for around 12 months. LI-Hybrid The Role Working as a PMT Instrument Engineer, and part of the Client PMT team, you will be responsible for the review of project work, in accordance with the Discipline Design Instructions, including Wood and / or Project Procedures with a focus on cost efficiency and reduction Our Clients and Projects Designing the future. Responsibilities Work scope: Operate as an SME in the discipline within the client team Emphasis on cost efficiency and reduction Part of the review team of Wood’s and Contractor deliverables Thinking outside engineering environment over the lifecycle of the equipment, plant Challenging conventional norms Develop a good understanding of discipline specifications and standards and influence their further development Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Expected: BSc Electrical / Process / Process Control Engineering EPC, Operations and Maintenance experience Extensive experience in instrument and control engineering in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry To be technically astute and conversant with the lasted advances in technology Experience in a similar role within the PMT / contractor environment is essential Self-motivated and confident in reaching out to others within the Client's Operations and Maintenance teams to bring external experience into the project Previous Aramco and / or Exxon experience Desirable: Middle East project experience is preferable (Chemicals or Gas Plants, Refineries etc)
