ROLE- Machinist
LOCATION- Stoke
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £35,000- £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a CNC Machinist, on a permanent basis, in the Stoke area.
The CNC / Machinist will ideally have the following attributes:
* Time served Engineer (NVQ/ Apprenticeship/ City & Guilds qualification ideally)
* Ideally 2 years’ experience or more in a similar engineering manufacturing / machine shop environment
* Experience of working with CNC, milling, turning or manual grinding
* Experience of working with Fusion360 programming or 5 axis machining would be desirable
* Be able to work with MS Office
* Good communication skills
* Have the ability to read/ interpret engineering drawings
* The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
The CNC / Machinist role will involve:
* Being responsible for the machining of one off engineering components
* Working to the right standards and specifications
* Interpreting engineering drawings
* Writing CNC machining programs (turning/ milling/ grinding)
* Helping to train apprentices or less experience team members
* Assisting with other general manufacturing activities
* Helping to drive the companies Continuous Improvement program
* Maintaining high standards
