The Role As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in keeping production running efficiently across a wide range of automated machinery. Your responsibilities will include: Maintaining and repairing machinery across sewing, conversion and high-speed packaging lines Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation control systems Working with PLCs, robotics, and servo-driven equipment Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime Carrying out planned maintenance and inspections Supporting continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and quality initiatives Maintaining high workshop and housekeeping standards Building strong knowledge of plant, equipment, and on-site processes You'll report directly to the Engineering Manager, with additional exposure to the Managing Director-ideal for someone who wants visibility and impact. About You We're looking for an engineer who brings a hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused approach. You will have: Time-served apprenticeship City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Strong fault-finding experience across mechanical, electrical, and control systems The ability to go online with PLCs and diagnose issues Experience in a fast-paced production or FMCG environment Clear understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and control systems Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset A strong commitment to Health & Safety If you are competent across both mechanical and electrical engineering and enjoy variety, this is a great environment to further your skillset.
