We have an opportunity for a Telescopic Forklift Driver to join our team working from our Anglia region and based at our site in Loddon, Norfolk (NR14)
Duties include:
Regularly communicate with the Site Manager to keep up to date with any changes to the construction programme
Advise Site Manager of any shortages of blocks, bricks and level of silo mix to prevent construction delays
Ensure all deliveries are checked for quality and correct quantities when delivered, and record any defective or short deliveries in conjunction with the Site Manager and Materials Controller where applicable
Store and label materials correctly in the storage areas supplied
Ensure any waste materials are loaded into the correct site skips so waste control can be managed
Ensure the forklift is inspected daily for maintenance purposes, and weekly inspections are recorded in the Plant Register
Ensure the forklift is clean and roadworthy at all times, and carry out routine maintenance
Ensure plant attachments are inspected on a weekly basis and recorded in the Plant Register
Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times and report any issues directly to the Site Manager
Ensure materials are loaded out on platforms to allow for the loading bay gates to be closed at all times
We're looking for the following skills and experience:
NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent
CSCS – Black Management/White Academic
SMSTS
First Aid at Work
BREGS or willingness to achieve in probation period
Fire Safety for low-rise flats and housing or willingness to achieve during probationary period
Environment Supervision in Construction Training – SSP (SEATS)
Understanding of the NHBC or /LABC/Premier standards
Experience of working to an established build programme
Proven ability to consistently deliver weekly targets through proactive organisation of the labour force, and promoting a team working ethic
Managing Contractor agreements and liaising with Contractor Supervisors
In depth knowledge of all aspects of construction and housebuilding, and the relevant legislative requirements e.g. Health and Safety, NHBC requirements and Building Regulations
Excellent communicator and influencer of people to gain commitment and compliance, and to drive delivery
Leadership skills to ensure optimum delivery to the highest quality standards on site
Proven history and well-rounded experience of dealing with customers and potential customers, giving information and advice or resolving any customer issues and confirming company procedures within residential housebuilding
Proficient IT skills – Office, Word, Excel
Hold a Full UK Drivers Licence
