TPF Recruitment is supporting a dynamic and growing accountancy firm with the recruitment of a Business Services Assistant Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly or nearly qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with some practice experience to take responsibility for a client portfolio while developing their career within a supportive and ambitious firm.

About the Firm
The firm serves a varied client base including SMEs, professional service providers, charitable organisations, and high-net-worth individuals. Its focus is on delivering tailored accounting, taxation, and business advisory solutions across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as the primary contact for businesses and individuals.

Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.

Prepare personal self-assessment tax returns.

Provide commercial support and practical advice to clients.

Assist with company secretarial matters and general practice compliance.

Review and supervise the work of junior team members.

Work collaboratively with other managers and senior staff.

Contribute to business development initiatives and client growth opportunities.

RequirementsCandidate Profile

ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearly qualified (QBE considered for strong candidates).

1–3 years’ post-qualification experience in general practice preferred but not essential with the right experieince.

Experience preparing accounts, tax returns, and working with small to medium sized client portfolios.

Strong attention to detail, initiative, and professional approach.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Comfortable using modern accounting software; familiarity with CCH, Sage, or Xero advantageous.

Able to work independently while managing deadlines and priorities.

BenefitsSalary: £40,000 - £50,000
Holiday Allowance: 35 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.
Pension Contributions: 3% employer contribution starting after 3 months of employment.
