We are seeking an organised, detail driven Engineering Port Coordinator to support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance activities across the port. This role is essential in optimising workflow, minimising downtime, and ensuring all engineering and maintenance work aligns seamlessly with operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
7. Create and manage detailed 4week rolling schedules for all engineering and maintenance activities.
8. Prioritise and schedule tasks logically ensuring prerequisite work is completed before subsequent steps.
9. Align maintenance plans with operational demands to avoid high impact disruption.
10. Liaise closely with the Operations team to coordinate planned shutdowns and avoid peak demand periods.
11. Communicate scheduled work with the maintenance team leaders to ensure operational readiness and awareness.
12. Work with the maintenance planner and maintenance team to ensure technicians, tools, and spare parts are available at the right time.
13. Consider planned tasks, unplanned tasks and triage of reactive work within scheduling.
14. Monitor progress and adjust schedules when required (e.g., staff shortages, parts delays).
15. Deal with external contractors and tenants, ensuring work is properly planned, documented and communicated.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
16. Proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling or heavy administrative planning roles.
17. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
18. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with cross functional teams.
19. Experience using CMMS or maintenance scheduling systems.
20. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
21. Understanding of budget awareness, safe working practices, and HSE legislation.
22. Full UK driving licence.
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically 08:00–16:00 from Monday to Thursday and 08:00–15:30 on Fridays, with some flexibility required as operational staff begin at 07:30.
