Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, equipment, and utensils to meet health and safety standards
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling, and portioning ingredients under supervision
* Support the food service team during busy periods by bussing tables and clearing dishes promptly
* Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
* Support catering and banquet events by setting up serving stations and assisting with food distribution
* Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are properly stored, cleaned, and maintained for optimal operation
* Contribute to a positive team environment by working collaboratively with chefs, servers, and other staff members
Experience
* Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
* Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices is advantageous
* Experience in food service roles such as bussing or assisting in food preparation enhances your suitability for this position
* Prior kitchen or culinary experience—whether through internships or part-time roles—will help you excel in supporting kitchen operations
* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks comfortably
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace
