About School of Coding & AI: Established in 2017, School of Coding & AI is now one of the UK's leading providers of Coding and Computer Science education. We work with over 150 schools, colleges and businesses, and support thousands of children and adults every month across STEM, Coding, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Business. We have recently partnered with the University of Wolverhampton to launch our first Higher Education Institute. Our goal is simple: Deliver high quality, career focused education that gives learners a genuine edge. We are a growing, ambitious organisation. We value people who are proactive, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast paced environment where new ideas are encouraged.

About the role

We are building the next generation of professionals who can combine care, critical thinking and real world skills to make a tangible difference in Health & Social Care. As a Health & Social Care Lecturer, you will do far more than deliver content. You will coach, mentor and challenge our students to think differently about the sector, apply theory to practice and build the confidence they need to succeed in further study or employment.

Responsibilities

* Teach Health and Social Care to post 16 and Higher Education learners.
* Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that link theory to real world practice.
* Design and update learning materials and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
* Mark and moderate work, giving clear, constructive feedback.
* Support students with academic and pastoral issues, helping them stay on track.
* Keep accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
* Contribute to quality assurance, course reviews and standardisation.
* Work with colleagues and external partners so that the curriculum reflects current practice in the sector.

About you

You are serious about the quality of education in Health & Social Care and you are comfortable working with learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities.

Essential

* Experience in Health and Social Care or a closely related field, ideally 2+ years.
* Teaching or training experience, ideally in FE or HE, or strong evidence you can step into a teaching role.
* Degree in a relevant subject.
* Teaching qualification (FE/HE) or willingness to work towards one.

Desirable

* Masters degree and or PhD in Health & Social Care or related discipline.
* Experience designing or updating modules and assessments.
* Confidence using digital tools in teaching, and interest in how AI can support learning.
* An adaptable approach to delivering lessons that can suit various learning styles.

You will also bring

* Strong classroom presence and clear communication.
* Good planning and time management, especially around marking and deadlines.
* A student centred approach, with empathy and firm boundaries.
* A collaborative way of working and willingness to share ideas and best practice.

Salary and benefits

* £35,000 to £40,000 salary, depending on experience.
* Birmingham City Centre location with excellent transport links.
* Pension scheme and Employee Assistance Programme.
* CPD and development opportunities as our HE provision grows.
* Company events, retail discounts through Bright Exchange and free onsite parking.
