About the Role
Level: 3 | Department: Investment Management | Location: Chester (Hybrid) | Contract: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the Client Relationship and Client Liaison team to deliver high‑quality client services.
- Manage work allocation, workloads, deadlines, and service standards for support staff.
- Oversee new business processing, implementation, and planned review activity within regulatory timescales.
- Ensure the pipeline of new business is monitored and expedited.
- Provide administrative cover when necessary.
- Maintain and update client records and administrative support services.
- Support process improvements and best practice across the client relationship function.
- Generate relevant reporting and take action on new business processing, production and serving data.
- Monitor and interrogate department production metrics.
People & Leadership Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with legislation, rules, codes of conduct and internal policies.
- Manage team budget, resourcing and authorise expenditure.
- Deliver appropriate training, coaching, supervision and performance management.
- Promote a diverse workforce, treat employees fairly and support employee welfare.
- Safeguard confidentiality and data protection for all team members.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
- Regular travel to maintain connectivity with teams across the country.
About You
- Prior experience in a financial adviser firm and financial services administration.
- Proven team management and mentoring with strong people management and coaching skills.
- Knowledge of advice administration systems and processes (e.g., Voyant, Xplan).
- Excellent understanding of products and services used to meet adviser and client needs.
- Knowledge of provider requirements and systems needs.
- Full understanding of internal compliance requirements and ability to maintain team compliance.
- Strong problem‑solving and attention to detail, with focus on quality delivery.
