Fleet Compliance Manager
UK (site-based role)
12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Up to £40,000 (DOE)
We’re currently supporting a leading logistics operator on a key hire for a Fleet Compliance Manager to cover a 12-month maternity leave.
This is a high-impact role sitting at the centre of fleet compliance, operational performance, and cost control, with responsibility for ensuring a large commercial fleet operates safely, legally, and efficiently.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of compliance across a large vehicle and trailer fleet, working closely with operational and senior stakeholders to maintain high standards and improve performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing full fleet compliance in line with DVSA and Operator Licence requirements
* Overseeing driver hours compliance, reporting and corrective actions
* Leading a small Maintenance Control Centre team
* Monitoring and improving Vehicle Off Road (VOR) levels
* Ensuring all maintenance, inspections and defect rectification are fully compliant
* Controlling maintenance spend while maintaining safety standards
* Supporting audits and maintaining full regulatory readiness
* Driving continuous improvement across compliance processes and systems
About You
This role would suit someone with a strong background in transport, fleet or maintenance compliance, who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll likely bring:
* Experience within fleet compliance, transport operations or maintenance environments
* Strong understanding of DVSA, driver hours and Operator Licence regulations
* CPC qualification (preferred)
* Experience using fleet systems (e.g. Axscend or similar)
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* A proactive, detail-focused approach with the confidence to challenge and improve processes
