* Publish certified, governed datasets and define standards for BI consumption, enabling reliable self‑service analytics
* Partner with data engineering to improve data quality, enforce security standards, and maintain lineage, metadata, and documentation
* Implement and optimise data pipelines and analytics models using Spark, Delta Lake, and cloud‑native tooling
* Coach and support analytics engineers and analysts through code reviews, mentoring, and best‑practice adoption
* Translate stakeholder requirements into clear, prioritised, high‑value data products while challenging ambiguity and assumptions
* Act as an SME for analytics solutions across Azure/AWS, PowerBI and Databricks‑based environments
* Drive performance, cost efficiency, and scalability of analytics solutions through continuous optimisation
* Promote modern analytics engineering standards including CI/CD, testing frameworks, and reusable patterns
What You’ll Need To Do The Role
* Strong BI experience across Microsoft stack (Power BI, SQL Server/SSRS, Excel); exposure to Tableau, Qlik, SAP Analytics Cloud or Domo desirable
* Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
* Expertise in semantic modelling, metrics layers, and certified dataset design for BI consumption
* Practitioner in data modelling (dimensional and lakehouse architectures) and enterprise dataset design
* Working knowledge in Data Engineering (Delta Lake, performance tuning, orchestration, schema evolution)
* Strong understanding of cloud data platforms (Azure or AWS) and secure, scalable data architectures
* Experience implementing data quality frameworks, validation, profiling, and documentation standards
* Strong analytical and data synthesis capability
* 5+ years’ experience in enterprise‑scale analytics, BI, or analytics engineering environments
* Proven experience delivering production‑grade analytics solutions in complex organisations
* Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, Databricks) – desirable
* SC clearance (or willingness to obtain it)
