Nature and scope:

To work as part of the Non-match day C&E sales team:

1. driving sales opportunities and through the effective management of sales and conversion processes
2. delivering both excellent customer service
3. achieving all sales targets for new and repeat business.

Accountabilities:

4. To professionally handle all C&E enquiries within agreed TEL standards, rate guidelines and SLAs.
5. To develop creative and accurate proposals, that reflect our client’s needs and event objectives.
6. To professionally follow up all enquiries and proposals within agreed and appropriate timescales focusing on increasing conversion and yield from all enquiries.
7. To arrange and conduct client site inspections and deliver solution-based show rounds that can be directly linked to the client’s objectives and desired event outcomes
8. To proactively generate leads from enquiries and flag up potential new clients to the Business Development team.
9. To effectively update all client information on the C&E sales/event management system (Ivvy) and keep client details and correspondence up to date, including GDPR compliance
10. To maintain and develop excellent product knowledge for both Twickenham Stadium and competitors.
11. To produce all sales correspondence in an accurate, professional and timely fashion
12. To ensure deposit payments are paid and received as per contract terms and conditions.
13. To liaise closely with the coordination & operations departments to complete thorough and accurate handovers thereby ensuring the client’s needs are understood and met.
14. To carry out post event debriefs with clients and/or follow-up on customer feedback surveys in conjunction with the coordination team.
15. To attend internal team sales and all other relevant meetings as required.
16. To make recommendations on how to develop and improve standards across the business.
17. Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the current strategic, business and operational plans.
18. Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of the RFU, including the promotion of our culture and core values – This Rose Means Everyone: Put The Team First, Shape The Future, Respect Each Other.
19. Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the organisation.

Qualifications, skills & experience:

Essential:

20. Will actively demonstrate the values of the Twickenham Experience and the Rugby Football Union.
21. Will have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
22. A real “people” person, with rounded communication and planning skills, with a capacity to grow and develop into new areas of expertise as required
23. Must be “customer oriented” with the desire and ability to hone in on each custom’s expectations and match these with the event spaces and services offered at Allianz Stadium
24. Be a confident and creative presenter and negotiator.
25. Ability to establish & maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
26. Self-motivated with the ability to maintain focus in the achievement of sales targets.
27. Must demonstrate a thorough approach to workload management, organising time and correspondence effectively.
28. Be competent in Microsoft Office and Event Management systems
