3-month contract with a Local Authority
Summary
* This is a 3-month contract with a Local Authority, focused on providing education, care, and supervision for children in an early years setting. The role involves preparing and delivering early learning activities, ensuring the children's needs are met, and facilitating a smooth transition between educational phases.
Responsibilities
* Contribute as an experienced practitioner to daily operations, including implementing operational plans, delivering curriculum and educational programs, and maintaining health and safety procedures.
* Provide full care and supervision for children, working closely with local primary school staff to integrate care and education.
* Ensure cost-effective use of the setting’s resources.
* Promote high standards of behavior and discipline, upholding the setting’s policies on equalities and inclusion.
* Implement all setting policies and procedures, ensuring OFSTED standards are met and records are maintained.
* Promote the setting with parents, local schools, and the community, assisting with marketing activities.
* Collaborate with staff from schools and agencies to deliver multi-agency services to parents and children.
* Attend planning and staff meetings as required.
* Work in any of the service’s Children’s Centres and early years settings as needed.
* Undertake any other duties necessary for the successful running of the setting.
Requirements
* Experience:
o Experience working with children in an early years environment.
o Familiarity with current principles and practices in early education and an understanding of early years legislation, including safeguarding.
o Experience with operational policies and procedures in line with OFSTED regulations and other legislation.
* Qualifications:
o A Level 3 Diploma qualification in early years practice or equivalent.
o Evidence of continuous professional development and a willingness to undertake further training.

* Working Hours: 30 hours per week.
* Location: 25 Windsor Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 2EJ, United Kingdom.
* Schedule: Week by week rota on hours or shifts.
