Job Description:
General Manager, 4 star hotel with C&B for 250, multi outlet F&B and leisure. Salary upto £50,000 per annum 28 days holiday, pension, meals on duty, free car parking.
This is a rare opportunity to take the reigns at this highly rated and established independent hotel near South Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire.
Current HOD structure: Deputy GM, Food & Beverage Manager, Reception Manager, Sales Manager, Bars Manager, Head Chef X2, Financial Controller, Head Housekeeper, Grounds team.
The current GM will be transitioning into the role of MD after 18 years as GM over the next 12 months, hence the requirement for them to appoint a new GM and have and work closely with her and have an extensive handover.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our team and oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction, managing budgets, maintaining operational standards, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with department heads to coordinate activities across housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, and maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve service quality and profitability.
2. Managing staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
3. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
4. Building strong relationships with guests and addressing any issues that may arise.
5. Monitoring financial performance and preparing reports for the owners.
Qualifications:
6. Proven experience as a General Manager or experienced Operations Manager or similar role within the hotel industry.
7. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
8. Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
9. Knowledge of business and management principles.
10. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
