Maintenance Electrician Location: West Middlesex University Hospital, Isleworth Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 On-Call Requirement: Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota with the ability to attend site within one hour Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Electrician to join a facilities maintenance team supporting a large healthcare site. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical maintenance services, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, KPIs, and health & safety standards. Key Responsibilities Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor Provide technical engineering support within the Hard FM Services department Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities within agreed timeframes and maintain accurate documentation Respond to reactive and emergency faults, completing remedial works to meet contractual KPIs Undertake reactive maintenance tasks across electrical systems and associated infrastructure Supervise and manage subcontractors as required, ensuring adherence to safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures Undertake Authorised Person (AP) / Responsible Person (RP) duties for appointed disciplines Participate in the on-call rota to support out-of-hours emergency response Person Specification Essential Requirements: Recognised electrical apprenticeship and/or relevant Level 3 electrical qualifications (theory and practical) Proven experience in building services maintenance Strong understanding of health & safety best practice Good IT skills and willingness to undertake cross-skilling training Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills Ability to use initiative and sound judgement to resolve technical issues effectively Desirable: Authorised Person (AP) experience in High Voltage (HV) systems Previous experience working in a healthcare or similar critical environment Formal health & safety training Benefits Package Generous holiday allowance Company share scheme Two paid volunteering days per year Cycle to Work scheme Season ticket loan Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
