The Vacancy
We are looking for a Gateway Repairs Team Leader to manage a multi-skilled team to deliver excellent, customer-focused repairs and maintenance services, achieving quality and other targets as well as delivering value for money.

What's the role?
Key Accountabilities:
* Lead, motivate and manage a team of operatives, including recruitment, training and performance management.
* Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed quality standards, including "Right First Time".
* Monitor team and individual performance, ensuring targets, budgets and compliance requirements are met.
* Plan and oversee repairs, inspections and property standards (Lettable Standard & Watford Quality Standard).
* Maintain accurate operational records, job closures and costings for financial and performance reporting.
* Support operatives with fault diagnosis, problemsolving and effective job completion.
* Manage customer complaints, represent the organisation at meetings and drive service improvements.
* Oversee fleet management, equipment checks and use of digital systems.
* Participate in the outofhours rota, including triage, authorisations, decants and liaison with external agencies.
What are we looking for?
Essential:
* Full driving licence
* Access to car or other means of transport to enable travel to and from sites in and around Watford
* You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check
Desirable:
* Experience managing a multidisciplinary or dispersed team, ideally in social housing repairs.
* Constructionrelated qualification or trade background; relevant CSCS card.
* Strong communication, negotiation and customerservice skills.
* Ability to plan, prioritise and manage workloads in a fastpaced environment.
* Confident using IT systems to analyse and report performance and financial data.
* Knowledge of property compliance: asbestos, fire safety, gas, electrical and legionella.
* Experience managing contractors, specifications, budgets and void/occupied property works.
* Positive approach to change, innovation and new technology.
* Ability to work flexibly, including outofhours duties.
