Strategic Head of Service Early Help, Targeted Support, MASH, and Youth Justice
6 month interim contract
£550 per day inside IR35, via Umbrella

An exciting new opportunity offered as an initial 6-month interim role as additional capacity to work closely with the Assistant Director of Children’s Social Care to deliver strategic improvements in partnership working across the council wide service.
Currently the service is facing a huge demand of referrals per month and a large part of this role is supporting the re-education of partnership and give the tools to support children at the edge of care.
My client will be shortlisting for interviews on Thursday 2nd May and holding MS Teams interviews next week.
Your duties as Strategic Head of Service Early Help, Targeted Support, MASH, and Youth Justice
1. You will provide strategic leadership for the statutory Youth Justice Service (YJS), working towards the best outcomes for the young people open to the service and to prevent reoffending.
2. Ensure children in need of help and protection are identified in a timely way and their needs responded to effectively and proportionately.
3. Ensure high standards of social work practice in line with the Children’s Services systemic model of practice so that all children and families both in universal and targeted and those in need of help and protection are in receipt of good quality, proportionate assessments.
Experience as Strategic Head of Service Early Help, Targeted Support, MASH, and Youth Justice
* Social care qualification with active SWE registration
* Must have Strategic and operational leadership in Head of Service role previously with subject matter understanding of specialist areas
* Key skills in leadership and positives improving the quality/impact of partnerships must be clearly demonstrated.
* A systemic practice background.
* Be able to demonstrate experience of managing large and complex budgets.
* Able to demonstrate improvement/Ofsted led progress within services that have received ‘RI’ or ‘Inadequate’ Ofsted ratings.
* Good references available for last 2 years in post.
