We're looking for a Commercial Development Assistant to join our Commercial Development Directorate. This role is based in Edinburgh, though other FLS office locations will be considered.
Forestry and Land Scotland's Commercial Development Directorate is responsible for generating value and income across our estate, covering renewables, visitor services, estate development and procurement. The Business Support team provides vital support across these areas, ensuring our people and partners are well supported and our services are delivered effectively.
As Commercial Development Assistant, you will provide executive and administrative support to the Director of Commercial Development and the Directorate's Leadership Team. This includes managing diaries and correspondence, organising meetings and events, preparing briefings, coordinating projects, handling sensitive information, and acting as a first point of contact for senior stakeholders. You'll also contribute to wider Directorate projects and business transformation initiatives.
To be successful, you'll need excellent communication and organisational skills, strong judgement, and the ability to manage a varied workload with accuracy and discretion. You should be confident using Microsoft Office tools, able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and comfortable supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced environment. Previous PA, secretarial or project support experience, and relevant qualifications, are desirable.
